Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2010, awarded by the Comunidad de Madrid for academic excellence. Specialist in Medical Oncology (Hospital Unicersitario La Paz) in 2016.
Dr. Ángela Santiago has a continuing education and a Master's Degree in Medical Oncology from the Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica (SEOM) and has attended courses from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) on pain management in cancer patients, being also an expert in familial and hereditary cancer having been trained in the Instituto de Genética Médica y Molecular of the Hospital La Paz in Madrid.
Her professional activity combines clinical care for patients with a research activity in projects related to ovarian cancer and pancreatic cancer
Is a member of the following scientific associations:
- Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica since 2011.
- Grupo Español de Investigaciones Neurooncológicas since 2016.
His current lines of work, like the rest of the iTAcC team, are treatment individualization, translational oncology and the management of pain and the nutritional problems of cancer patients.
