Dr. Gema Sánchez Rodillo specializes in Radiation Oncology. She received her training in centers of international reference such as the Lyon Sud (France) Hospital (Intraoperative Radiation Therapy) and Miami Cyberknife Center (US) with training in fractionated Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy -SBRT- and radiosurgery.
She was member of the initial team that first implemented the Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy in Spain (2000) as well as of member of the team that pioneered the Image Guided Robotic Radiosurgery in Spain (2006).
Since 2010 she has specialized in High Rate Dose Brachytherapy and Image Guided Radiotherapy with the Rapid Arc system.
She is a member of the following scientific societies:
- Cyberknife Society (certified by the Cyberknife training program in 2006)
- Novalis Circle
Her current work is in the field of Arcotherapy dynamically modulated treatments (V-MAT and RapidArc) of the prostate, breast, lung, brain and digestive tumors as well as functional brain radiosurgery.
